Success Stories: Real Testimonials & Alumni Spotlight

I am very privileged with the skill set and techniques that I have learned through Unity's Dental Assisting Program. I feel a tremendous amount of gratitude knowing that I get to help others with their oral health. When it came down to picking one program, I knew Unity Dental Assisting was the way to go.

Unity was perfect in helping me customize a payment plan. Classes are online to start with and then moved to hands-on training for Saturdays, so I didn't have to give up work to make it fit my schedule.

So many other schools were just way out of price for me. I was looking for a program with a good, affordable, and flexible schedule that could fit my job and family needs. Unity's reviews were great, as well!

To be honest, I spoke to a lot of different Dental Assisting schools trying to find somewhere that could accommodate me. I felt like I was being put through the ringer when I would talk to "Sales" representatives at other Dental Assisting schools.

I chose Unity Dental Assisting because their program is much shorter and way more affordable than other nearby schools, especially local community colleges that I had been enrolled in.

I love to put smiles on people's faces! Since joining Unity, everything has been a breeze. I have a daughter and I want to show her that if I can do it, then anyone can do it. Unity has pushed me to succeed.

I had to quit my job due to surgery and started looking for a new career. I was planning to go into Medical Assisting, but I found Unity and loved the encouragement I received from the Unity Team. Everyone was so welcoming and treated each other like brothers and sisters.

I toured another school that was just 5 minutes from my house, but it was $15,000! Fortunately, I found Unity after getting laid off from my job. The team at Unity has helped me start a new career and a new life for myself and my family.

Dental Assistants are the direct support system of dentists and hygienists and are crucial to the success of a dental practice. Dental Assistants are responsible for things like welcoming and seating patients, taking impressions, sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, passing instruments to the dentist, preparing the operatory, updating patient records, checking patient vital signs, instructing patients on proper oral hygiene, and scheduling patient appointments. A Dental Assistant will spend much of their day working closely with both patients and dentists to ensure all appointments and procedures run smoothly and on-time!

This varies city by city. In bigger cities and more populated areas, you could expect to start earning $18 to $25 per hour right out of Dental Assisting school. The national average for all Dental Assistants is about $43,000 per year or about $21 per hour. However, due to the high demand of Dental Assistants you could earn up to $50,000 – $60,000 per year depending on your location and years of experience.
